I am wondering if their is a feature in episode similar to what is found in compressor. Our original files come recorded in a frame size of 720x404, the broadcast standard that the station uses is 720x486 so we need to conform our original 720x404 in to a 720x486 letter boxed frame. in apple's compressor we are able to go to the geometry's tab and change the dimensions and also the output image inset (padding) to distort the top and bottom by 63 pixels which conforms the video to the right dimensions so the letter boxed video doesn't look stretch.
We would like to automate this conformation and transcoding through episodes watch folders. the problem that arises is i can't find anywhere to change the padding. when using the default in the resize options it seems all i can do is tell it to maintain proportions with letterbox (tab) this doesn't pad enough of the video it still looks slightly stretched. is there any other options in episode that will let me input my desired padding? I'm sorry if non of this post makes sense i'm a production of the internet generation I didn't learn proper grammar skills |

In Episode Resize filter you've been using. Image Size set to Custom and then set the frame size to 720x486 and it should pad to that size.
